PRACTICE SUGGESTIONS

PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR CHILDREN
WHEN YOU FEEL THEY ARE READY!


1. Become the animal's spirit-imagine you really are the Power Animal.

2. Create a special frolic time each day-make them as regular as brushing teeth.

3. Practice anywhere-inside or outside.

4. Make up stories-what might the Power Animals be doing in each movement?

5. Move softly with awareness.

6. Focus your attention at the soles of the feet or just below the navel, especially between movements.

7. Stand with relaxed knees and legs-not stiff.

8. Between movements, keep your weight evenly distributed on both legs and between the balls and heels of the feet.

9. Feel like all parts of your body are agile and connected.

10. Breathe naturally. Don't hold your breath.

11. Imitate the movements the best you can, relax, and have fun.

12. Children love challenges! Challenge them to memorize the order of movements.

13. Increase the number of movement repetitions up to 5.

14. Listen to your body-never overdo! If there is pain, there is no gain!
